Continental Divide Cover Art and Blurb!

Coming March 9th from
Hot Corner Press!

The Blurb:

Detective Remington frickin’ hates the missing persons detail, but a cold fury builds in the pit of his stomach when he realizes that over the past three months six boys have disappeared from the smaller communities that surround the greater Phoenix area. All reported to be runaways looking to escape their shitty lives, but Remy’s starting to put together a different picture and he doesn’t like it one damn bit.

Inspector Jamie Mainwaring stares at the six reports, willing them to make sense. Six boys, six months, all from just outside of London, which meant six different investigations. All of the boys were between the ages of ten and fifteen, all purportedly runaways from dysfunctional families. Something was rotten in Denmark.

There are always runaways. Every small town loses them—every big city collects them. Kids look for freedom and discover they have more to lose than they ever thought possible. London and Phoenix, culture and cowboys, nothing linking these two sprawling metropolitan areas. Nothing except a hit on a computer data search.

Two cops, one a cowboy, the other a Lord. A secret government agency, human trafficking, and a blazing hot mutual distraction.

What the hell have Remington and Mainwaring gotten themselves into?

Doesn't that sound delicious? Writing this book with Lisa has been a delight. She is everything I look for in a writer, funny, sexy, and smooth. I have to work three times as hard to write my bits-I swear!

The best part is, I don't even have to feel sad that writing this book is coming to an end...
Just wait until you see what the guys have planned for Book Two, Oceans Apart...

Terrific Twosome: Ben and Danny Johns

Welcome to Tuesday's Terrific Twosome! Each week we'll spend some time getting to know one of our favorite couples. Sometimes we'll meet a couple from a book, other days, we'll have an even more special treat when one our favorite real life couples shows up and shares.

Since this is the first edition of T3 and it just so happens to be Valentine's Day, I knew we needed a very special couple to launch this page. I found just that with my good friends and real-life couple Danny and Ben Johns. The love they share shines like a beacon, reassuring everyone that Happily Ever After does exist. Don't believe me? Read on, and enjoy a select few of the pictures they've shared from this past year of the life they've built together.

For those who haven’t met you before…how about a quick introduction:

Ben and Danny Johns

LMAO, okay guys, thanks for that enlightening intro. How about telling us how the two of you met?

Danny: I had put some of my artwork in a local coffee shop .... and had stopped by to check to see if anything was selling.... and saw this handsome man behind the counter (the son of the owner). We exchanged a brief HELLO and eye contact.

Me: Was it love at first sight?

Ben and Danny: Basically, YES!

Me: Ben, what’s a day in the life of loving Danny like?

Ben: It is the most wonderful feeling I have ever experienced. To find the one that completes you like no other...words cannot begin to describe it. He spoils me rotten!
Me: Danny, same question back at you. What’s a day in the life of loving Ben like?

Danny: HARD WORK! Lol! We live on a small farm, so there are chores, and chores, and more chores. BUT.... I love every minute of it. I have found my BEST FRIEND as well as MY PARTNER and SOUL MATE all wrapped up in one person.

Me: What’s the best experience you’ve had as a couple? (*blushes* Okay, you can tell that kind of story if you want, but I meant how do people respond to you as a couple?)

Ben and Danny: As the new has worn off about US, we celebrate one year this March, people all the time ask where the other is. It is as if we are connected.... not just BEN or DANNY.... but DANNY & BEN. We both get a great sense of achievement when someone asks WHERE'S BEN? or HOW IS DANNY DOING?
It is like we have been accepted as a couple.

Me: What’s the worst experience?

Ben and Danny: So far... there have been none

Me: What’s your idea of a dream date?

Ben and Danny: Anything that we can do together, as a team, as partners, as husbands...... is a dream date.

Me: If you could give your husband anything, make his most secret and special wish come true…what would you do or what would it be?

Ben and Danny: I think we both agree when we say that the day we got married was that wish.

Friends and Lovers: Lisa Worrall

Now for those of you tuning in, wondering if this is a titillating true confession type moment and I'm about to reveal the truth behind our relationship...I'm not!
But I will tell you, Lisa is a friend and she writes about lovers...does that count?

Sometimes fate hands you an opportunity and if you're smart, you grab it and run. The day Lisa Worrall posted she was looking for a critique partner for a historical western was my lucky day. I'm still waiting on that book...I think it's on her TBW list-- To Be Written, because other stories keep  pushing to the front of her brain, demanding attention. Let me share some of what she's been working on.

Out right now:

The Downe's Valentine's Day Masquerade Ball has been an annual event for over a hundred years and where, four years ago, Gabe met Mike.

It's been over six months since Mike's death and Mike thinks that Gabe is ready to move on. How does Gabe know this? He receives a letter and a ticket to the ball, from Mike. Gabe isn't sure he'll ever be ready to move on, but in deference to Mike's memory, he attends the ball.

What Gabe doesn't know, is that his best friend, Tom, the one constant in his life since college, has also received a letter from Mike. Will Gabe be able to move forward and remember a long forgotten love, or will his world come crumbling down around his ears, again?

Then there's her release next week, her very first in the Indie Publishing world. And, oh my, what a great cover! Full of surprises, snappy dialog laced with humor, and hot man loving. Just what we've come to expect from our Lisa!

Always Hope (Available 2/20/12

Ash Watts has his life exactly how he wants it: burgeoning career, gorgeous boyfriend, and an apartment with a fabulous view of LA. But his perfect world comes crashing down around his ears when learns of his only sister's untimely death. A small town isn't all he finds when he lands in Freedom, Alabama for Annie's funeral. This small town is brimming with secrets; secrets that could change Ash's life forever.

Kaleb Gibson, honest-to-God cowboy, and native of Freedom, born and bred, found his best friend the moment Annie Watts breezed into town. Her death left a gaping hole in his heart, and while Annie's brother may have her same dark hair and green eyes, Kaleb refuses to lose his heart all over again, and he can’t forgive the man for neglecting his sister when she needed him most.

Revelations from Annie's Will throw Kaleb and Ash together in ways they never imagined. Will Kaleb be able to carry out Annie’s last wishes without killing her beloved brother and without revealing a secret from his own past that could destroy everything? And will Ash stick around long enough to see that Freedom may hold an even more perfect life than he could have imagined?

And a very chilling tale coming March 2, from Silver Publishing:

Laurel Heights (3/2/12)
A shot rings out in the dead of night and leaves two residents dead in the exclusive gated housing community of Laurel Heights, an apparent murder/suicide, but not everyone is convinced.

Scott Turner and Will Harrison are sent undercover to Laurel Heights to dig beneath the surface, and discover answers.  There’s only one problem.  Laurel Heights is an exclusive gay housing community. Pretending to be a gay is not exactly difficult for Scott and Will as, unbeknownst to each other and everyone other than their respective partners at work, that’s what they are – two gay men, pretending to be straight, who then have to pretend that they’re gay.
Detectives Scott Turner and Will Harrison are sent undercover after an apparent murder/suicide in Laurel Heights, an exclusive gay housing community. Will the two closeted officers be able to hide their attraction while believing the other is straight?  And is there a killer among them waiting to claim his next victim?

And finally, coming next month with her brilliant writing partner, L.E. Harner, is Continental Divide. Want to know more about it? See the cover? Get the release date? Then you'll have to drop back by on Thursday! See you then!

And come back borrow for the most fantabulous post, ever. I'm kicking off Terrific Twosomes, a series of  interviews of some of my favorite couples. Tomorrow two real life hotties join me and share everything...from how they met to, well, their favorite brand of lube--

You won't want to miss this post!

When is a Picture Worth More than A Thousand Words?

D.W.S Photography captures the true essence of romance. The power and beauty of these photos tightens the throat, and tears sting the eyes. We feel the voyeur as we look in on these intimate moments.

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.

Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind;
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.-

To give and not expect return, that is what lies at the heart of love.-
